Advanced Paceline Maneouvers – Cycling Training for Performance

Training Session 1 – Day 4

Whether you’re planning a break in next week’s race or wanting to gain fitness to hang on the group ride, this practice is for you. We’ll discuss and practice strategies to conserve energy, maintain the pace, and make micro-adjustments in speed. You’ll also learn proper signaling, when to soft-pedal, where to look, how long to stay on the front, how to help your teammates and how to deal with strength, weakness, race tactics and personalities in a mixed group. Don’t forget echelons and dealing with wind, we’ll cover that too.

Improve your fitness with Cycling Training Sessions on Wednesday evenings. Each 4-week session will include an evening of speed specific training, threshold training, hill training and fast paceline practice. This session is open to both male and female cyclists and will take place in an environment that allows riders or all abilities to be safe and work to their individual capacity. This is performance training. Whether you’re racing or just want to be faster and more efficient on your bike, this is the session for you. Come feeling fresh and we’ll work hard!
